Responsible Gaming

Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to six independent gambling-help organisations, and the eighteen-and-over restriction appears throughout the build, including on the front page. Below you will find how those links work, some practical habits for keeping gambling under control, and where the real account controls are set.

Six independent organisations are linked from every page

The help links on this page and on every other page lead to these organisations:

  • BeGambleAware
  • Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy
  • G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
  • GAM STOP
  • NCPG

These are the only non-commercial outbound links on the site. Operator links carry a sponsored marking, but these do not. They are set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when you follow one. Each organisation is an independent source of help.

Spending controls live in your account at the destination

This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch on, check or enforce a deposit cap, loss cap, reality check, cooling-off period or self-exclusion. You arrange those controls yourself, inside your account at the destination. The same applies to age: nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place here, so any age check happens at the destination.

A few habits keep gambling in its place

  • Decide the amount before you start. A limit set in a calm moment is more reliable than one set in the middle of a session.
  • Treat that amount as already spent. If you think of it as the price of entertainment, a loss does not feel like money you need to win back.
  • Never chase a loss. Raising your stakes to recover money usually makes the loss bigger, and each outcome is independent of the last one.
  • Keep borrowed money out of it. Borrowed money adds debt and interest on top of whatever you lose.
  • Take breaks. Time away lets you see how much time and money you have actually spent.
  • Involve someone else early. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, telling a person you trust makes it easier to act before the problem grows.

Nothing on these pages targets you

No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is aimed at a reader who has shown risky behaviour. The only visit data this site counts is the page path, the type of event, the name of the referring search engine and the text of a clicked outbound button. It records this only when you arrive from a search engine, and it uses cookies for nothing.
